The Royal Association of Knights of the Monastery of Yuste has approved new statutes that include the «Ladies» as full members, with voting rights. Likewise, they assume the obligations and rights of any of the other members. This way, the institution is now called Royal Association of Knights and Ladies of the Monastery of Yuste.
Women will be able to join the Management Board or even preside over the Royal Association. A true revolution that has come after 65 years of existence.
The Royal Association of Knights of the Monastery of Yuste was formed in 1957. Its goals are the study, defense and spread of everything related to the protection, growth and history of the monastery of Yuste and what Emperor Charles’ stay there meant and represented, as well as his ideology of «universitas cristiana».

This last weekend on the 30th September and 1st October various events were held at their headquarters (located in Cuacos de Yuste), including a conference led by Ilmo. Sr. D. José María Martínez García, Economist, Doctorate in Medicine and President of New Medical Economics. Likewise, they also convened an Ordinary General Assembly and an Extraordinary General Assembly, where new statutes have been approved, that include the Ladies as full members with voting rights and with the same obligations and rights of any other member, which means they will be able to join the Management Board or even preside over what will now be called the Royal Association of Knights and Ladies of the Monastery of Yuste. A true revolution thas has come after 65 years of existence.
