The Cáceres City Council has resumed relations with the Royal Association of Knights and Ladies of the Monastery of Yuste, as there had been no relation during the previous term of office. For this reason the councillor for Tourism and Historical Heritage, Raquel Preciados , is attending this weekend the Ordinary General Assembly and the events that will be held today, Friday, and tomorrow Saturday 7th October in Cuacos de Yuste.
The events will start today, Friday at 19:00 p.m., with a conference by Manuel González Hernández, Lieutenant Colonel of Artillery, Professor in the Department of Organisation and International Relations at the Army War College, Doctorate in Education Sciences from the University of Granada, Professor at the Universities of Antonio de Nebrija, Carlos III and Isabel I, that will talk about “The Yihaddist pandemic and the O Radicron variant”
Tomorrow Saturday the ordinary assembly will be held and later an extraordinary one. Afterwards Medals of Honor will be awarded to the Knights with more than 30 years of service in the Royal Association. At 19:00 p.m. the investiture of the new Knights and Ladies will take place at the Royal Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste.
Preciados has reminded that “the Cáceres City Council has been a member of the Association since 1958. During the previous term of office the relation with it had been nonexistent and with the start of the legislative term , through my council we have resumed the relationship, attending these events on behalf of Mayor Rafa Mateos”.
“From the Governing Body we understand that the Cáceres City Council must build bridges with the association due to its track record and historical presence, and also have an institucional presence in this and other associations to witch the City Council belongs”, she stressed.
